Mr Aodh O Domhnaill is a native of Co Donegal and is currently CEO of the Irish Fish Producers Organisation, (IFPO). The IFPO is Ireland’s longest established fish producer organisation with a broad national membership in the demersal, shellfish and pelagic segments.
Aodh has a strong interest in all things marine and has extensive industry experience having worked for 30 years in the processing sector. His broad responsibilities spanned senior operations and international sales roles in a Gaeltacht based Shellfish processor and exporter, Errigal Bay. In his role as Group International Sales and Marketing, he had responsibility for the development of commercial activities and partnerships in emerging Asian territories.
Over the years Aodh has served on various boards and committees. This included terms as a committee member of the Irish Fish Processors and Exporters Association (IFPEA) and on the North West Pelagic Advisory Committee. Mr O Domhnaill also served as Chairman of The Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) for a four-year term from 2007 to 2011. In 2021, he was appointed as Board Member of the Marine Institute (Forás na Mara) .
Mr O Domhnaill is a native Gaelic speaker and has a primary degree from Trinity College Dublin. He also holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from the Open University.
