The Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine are hosting a webinar on Wednesday 6th of December 2023, from 10:00 -11:30. The webinar is titled “Updates on the UK’s Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Import Control Requirements for Irish/EU Agri-food Goods exported to Great Britain.” Bernard O’Donovan, National Director Trade Compliance and Internal Audit, Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA), will participate as a seafood Q&A panellist at the information webinar. The SFPA issued an information notice encouraging seafood businesses to attend the event.
The objective of the webinar is to share the latest information available on the changes to the UK’s import regime which will apply for exports of Irish/EU agri-food goods to Great Britain and via the Great Britain Landbridge to the EU from the 31st January 2024. The webinar will also provide updates on the Department’s preparations to support the sector in meeting these new UK requirements.
