The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) has issued an Information Notice to Trade in relation to technical requirements for Irish companies trading with China in an evolving third country regulatory environment.
Any Irish exporter approved for export to China who moves to a new premises and wishes to maintain their registration to China should inform the SFPA Trade Compliance and Internal Audit Unit of this change.
The Chinese competent authority the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), has informed the SFPA that a change of address for an exporter requires a new registration application to be made for the new location, and these changes need to be processed within 60 days of the change date, for authorisation to export to China to be maintained. This is in line with the provisions as laid out in the relevant Chinese legislation, Decrees 248 and 249.
